I hope your all well.
Today I wanted to go through my April Glossy Box, much like I did with the Birchbox a few posts ago.
Before getting into the post, I just want to mention that they key difference between Birchbox and Glossy Box is that Glossy box seems to always have a good selection of full size products, where as Birchbox is more sample / travel size products.
Both are around the same price, I think I pay around £13 including shipping for each box.
So, onto the goodies inside
This lip balm has Lanolin and SPF 15, its very hydrating and I am very much liking this product, I use it morning and night, but I keep with me a Burts Bees balm in my bag / pocket at work because I prefer the scent of those. This one does contain menthol so it does tingle a little on first application. Overall this stuff is great.
This powder is a combination of Rice Starch and Mica which is said to give a perfect matte finish. It can be used to set makeup, instantly absorb oil and can be used over foundation or lipstick without a cakey look.
I actually haven’t given this a real test yet, but I dipped my brush in quickly and applied to it to my face and did see a difference in the oils that were visible. It’s very finely milled and feels beautiful against the back of my hand but I cant say how well it works over makeup… yet!
This is a beautiful soft pink baked blush with high shine, can be used on the high points of the face, cheeks or eyes, so its very multi purpose. The powder is lovely, it is a pressed powder with micronized colour pigments that deliver a sheer natural look. The packaging is super cute aswell.
This powder bronzer is talc free and mineral enriched and has a long lasting waterproof formula. The colour is stunning on this, the pan size is really good, so you can use a big fluffy brush and hit up the high points of the face to add a touch of colour and warmth to your complexion.
This is big, bold and black. Its a beautiful long lasting formula that is really pigmented. Personally I prefer the skinny liner that Eyeko offer because I find it easy to use more subtle, but if your after a good eyeliner, you cannot go wrong with Eyeko.
So there you have it, Aprils Glossy Box!
I’ll be honest I do enjoy getting both boxes, they offer different things and I don’t think I would stop either, not anytime soon at least.
Hope you enjoyed this!
