Today I wanted to talk about the Elemis Superfood Day Cream.
I received a deluxe sized sample of this cream in my This Is Mothership x Birchbox Beauty Box a couple months ago and decided to take it with me to London for Bens birthday because it was easier to pop this into my wash bag than it would have been to decant my regular Day cream.
I used it for the 4 days we were in London then used it on and off when we got back until I finished it a couple days ago.
So now that I have finished it, I thought it would a good time to chat about it.
This cream is packed with anti-oxidant rich oils and vitamin rich superfoods including Ginger, Matcha Tea and Goji Berry and has been formulated to “balance the skins natural eco-system, leaving it happy and hydrated”.
I honestly loved this cream, it has a rich, buttery texture that sinks into the skin beautifully leaving it plump and hydrated. Make-up sits on top wonderfully and my skin just felt amazing after every use.
I have never used a ‘luxury’ moisturiser like this before but I can honestly say I get it now, I get why products like this are expensive, if I compare this to the Garnier one that I have been using since christmas, there really is no comparison. This one is just superior in every way and the way my skin looks and feels really shows that.
The scent took me a little while to get used to as it has that luxury, kinda herbal, spa like scent that I had never really experienced but it doesn’t linger on the skin which I liked.
So, Would I purchase the full size?
Honestly, yes I probably would. The full size retails at around £42 but given that a little goes a long way I think it would last a while.
So yeah, if I had a spare £42 and thought I could justify dropping that kind of money on skin care, I would definitely purchase this.
Its a solid product that works really well and I know my skin will miss this now that I’m not using it.
Thanks for reading guys! Let me know if you have tried this, or have any recommendations on Day Creams, would love to hear from you guys!
Talk to you soon!
