Hellooo!
As mentioned in last months post, I want to make this a monthly things, so today we take a look inside the May Birchbox.
First things first, the packing this month is so cute! It came with a little postcard that reads “Palm Leaves & Warm Breeze” which I love.
The products in this months box are all based on breathing fresh life into your beauty routine, with several of the products being all natural and paraben free.
Onto the products

The first thing I pulled out is this Power Serum, which claims to be a great primer to make up, helps reduce appearance of fine lines, firms and lifts, and creates a smooth, radiant complexion.
It is paraben free, fragrance free and gluten free.
There are a lot of bold claims to this product but I feel like the size of the sample wont be enough to do it justice however I will keep you posted when I try this.

I have received this Eyeko Liner before in a Glossybox so I knew I loved it and was happy to see it included.
This felt tip liquid liner claims to be easy to use, fade resistant, and be goof proof and I can happily confirm that it is all of the above. This liner is wonderful, it’s richly pigmented, easy to use due to its skinny tip and really does last.
I would recommend this to you if you haven’t already tried it.

Firstly the colour of this is stunning, secondly the texture is lovely and thirdly this is not a ‘stain’.
This was a product that as a customer I got to pick my shade of. They offered two, a darked red, and this more nude shade, obviously I went with nude.
The claims on this are that it is pigmented, applies matte, dries fast, doesnt transfer and lasts for hours.
Even in the claims this doesn’t mention being a stain, it doesnt leave any traces behind after removal like a stain should.
However even if we look past that, its a stunning colour and a great formula, however when I look at this price of this, at £21 RRP I can’t help thinking I could get a Jefferee Star Liquid Lip for £16 and be just as happy.
It is a good product though, I can’t deny that.

This shower gel is made without “chemical nasties” and boasts about being organic, cruelty free, vegan and chemical free. It is designed to be a gentle wash that helps maintain skins PH Level. Its also great for sensitive skin.
I’m yet to try this as I’m half way through a different shower gel, however I can confirm it smells beautiful and I am looking forward to using it.

Another chemical free product, this deodorant balm uses sweat absorbing arrowroot, antibacterial coconut oil, and shea butter to help keep sweat and odours at bay.
I am seriously sceptical about this product, I know I shouldn’t be and that these products are not new to the market, but I have never tried them. I’m going to, I’m always open to trying new things but I can’t help but wonder how they work, and more importantly, IF they work.
Thats it for the May Birchbox. What do you guys think? Have you received yours yet?
Hope you enjoy!
Talk to you soon!
