I got my hair cut!

Helloo!

So for literally the past two, maybe three months I have uttered the words “I need a haircut!” at least once per day. Some days I have said it numerous times, to the same person. I had tried making an appointment but my stylist was either fully booked or away on holiday, and when she wasn’t, I was away myself so it turned into a much longer wait than I would have liked.

But! It happened! I finally got booked in and had it cut and I could not be happier!

Lets take a look at the before –

Sorry this photo is so heavily back lit and dark.

Before the cut, it was super long (for me at least, I realise this is short to some people), the colour had grown out significantly, and it just looked unhealthy. It wasn’t unhealthy, my hair is in surprisingly good condition for someone who bleaches it, but it definitely looked it. I commented to Ben that it actually looked like really crappy extensions.

I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted, A big chop. This happens all the time, I grow and grow and grow my hair out, it gets to a certain length and I’m like “Nope, cut it off”

Seriously, I can probably provide proof of this, but I will save that for a later post.. maybe!

So what does it look like now?!

Nice, short and super swishy! I absolutely love it.

I will say the colour isn’t quite what I had hoped for, I had gone in wanting to be blonder than before but bleaching over brown never goes perfectly the first time, and since my blonde had more of less grown past the point of my cut, I was never going to walk out of the salon with super blonde hair.. I do however love the current colour and cut. It feels super summery and healthy, and I feel 1000% better for having done it! I will no doubt be back in next month to top up the blonde a little bit more.

The next question is.. can I still curl it?! We will have to wait and see!

What do you think of the new ‘do? Let me know in the comments!

Talk to you soon!
