Top 5 – August

Helloo!

Today I wanted to share with you my Top 5’s for August. These are the products that I have used either every day or every week and have absolutely loved. These aren’t necessarily all of my favourites this month but definitely the stand out products for the month.

So lets get started

Nivea Urban Detox Mask – Pore Refine

What is it –

This one minute mask, is self heating and works to tighten and refine pores by reducing environmental stressors and urban pollutants.

Why I liked it –

This stuff worked like an absolute dream. After just one application my pores were tighten and visably reduced. My makeup application was smoother and everything about my skin just looks better after using this. Plus, it only takes a minute so its super quick and can be done at any time of day!

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

What is it –

This cleanser is a gel formula that is soap-free, that creates a rich lather that thoroughly removes impurities without disturbing the skin’s natural moisture balance.

Why I like it –

You literally need the tiniest amount of this and it removes everything. I have used this all month (apart from the week we were in London where I used a different one) but this has done my skin wonders. I apply a small amount and rub it between my hands to create a lather then apply to my entire face including eyes, and it breaks down and removed every trace of dirt and makeup to leave my skin squeaky clean but not dry or feeling stripped.

Maybelline MasterFix Setting Powder

What is it –

This setting powder is a micro fine powder that sets makeup in place, mattifies the skin and creates an smooth soft, appearance to the skin

Why I like it –

This stuff is gorgeous, its super finely milled and feels baby soft. It sets makeup perfectly without looking overly powdery and it leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth and keeps me looking matte all day. I absolutely love this stuff. It is quite a small tub but you definitely don’t need a lot of it so it should last a long time.

Maybelline The Falsies

What is it –

Featuring a unique ‘spoon brush’ this mascara creates lift, volume and length. The wand captures every lash from inner corner to outer corner, creating a fluttery false lash effect.

Why I like it –

This oldie but goldie is a wonderful mascara that creates the volume and length that I look for on a daily basis and gives me jet black lashes that standout. Its easy to use, lasts all day, doesn’t flake and is easy to remove at the end of the day. Honestly, this is just such a good mascara, and its affordable too!

Revolution Conceal and Define

What is it –

Featuring 25 shades in a variety of undertones, this creamy, high pigmented concealer has something for everyone. It can be used to conceal blemishes, and even out skintones, and has a matte finish that doesn’t accentuate anything you don’t want it to.

Why I like it –

This conceal is such a game changer for me, its highly pigmented, covers everything I want it to without creasing or looking cakey. With the range of shades I was able to find something to suit my overly pale skin without leaving me looking orange, and the large doefoot applicator means I can apply it in seconds and just blend it out. The coverage lasts all day and leaves me looking wide eyed and refreshed, even when I feel the complete opposite. Plus its £4, who can argue with that?!
