A few posts ago I showed in a haul that I had purchased a set of Lancóme Mascaras from Boots. I had never tried anything from the brand before but since I am a sucker for mascara and am always on the look out for the next best one, I figured this set would be a great place to start.
The set cost me £16.66 and originally retailed at £32. I got it in the sales after Christmas so obviously a discount had been applied. The set came with 1 full size tube of the Hypnose Mascara (worth £24), a favourite amongst Lancome Fans, and 3 deluxe size mini’s of some of their other most famous mascaras – Hypnose Drama, Hypnose Doll Eyes, Hypnose Volume A Porter.
Onto the mascaras themselves (as a side not, I am not reviewing them, that will come later, this is just a more in depth look at what you get)

The only one to come in a full size tube. The Lancóme Hypnose mascara is said to be a buildable mascara able to create up to 8 times the volume whilst its formula keeps lashes feeling soft and supple as it is enriched with Vitamin B5.

The wand is a skinny, natural bristle brush. It is a pretty straight wand with no taper.
The bristles are nicely spaced and are designed to give natural separation and volume.

The Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara has a cone shaped natural bristle wand that is designed to capture every lash, even the inner corner ones.
It claims to provide the perfect amount of product, for a seductive curve and beautifully fanned out lashes. I take that mean this one is designed for curl and definition.
It features a unique Fibreshine formula that is enriched with Nylon Powders.

The Hypnose Volume-á-Porter Mascara has a plastic bristle wand, that is a slimmer, rounder version of the Doll Eyes wand.
This mascara claims to provide length, and volume with a deep, rich colour.

The Hypnose Drama mascara has a large, S shaped natural bristle wand.
It has a rich black pigmented formula and unique brush shape to provide colour and intense volume to each lash.
As much as I said I wasn’t going to review them, I will say that so far, Hypnose Drama is my favourite from this kit!
The kit is still available for £25 on the Lancóme Website if your interested. As mentioned the full size mascara is worth around the £24 so even at £25 this kit is a bargain.
So thats it, a full look into the Mascara Wardrobe. Hopefully you enjoyed this.
Have you tried any of these mascaras? If so I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Talk to you soon!
