My Morning Skincare Routine

Today I wanted to take a break from the “What’s In My..” and the hauls, and share with you my current, every day, morning skincare routine.

These are the products that I use, without fail, every day, and have been absolutely loving recently. Some are products that I have been using for the longest time, and others are new additions to the skincare family.

In recent months I have gotten a lot better at taking care of my skin, and I have noticed an overall improvement in my skin, in terms of hydration and lack of acne / breakouts. I still get the occasional pimple but its not half as bad as it was once. My skin is also a lot smoother and softer, with less dry patches that before.

As I mentioned, this is my every day routine, there are other products in my overall skincare routine but these are just the ones that I use, every morning.

So lets get into the routine –

I start off with my everyday face wash, the Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean cleanser.

Its no secret that I love this stuff, I have been using it for probably over a year and have previously featured it in hauls and I even did a full review on it.

Its a thick, creamy formula that does what it says on the bottles, it melts away makeup and leaves the skin feeling clean and makeup free, without feeling stripped and dry. Its around the £8 – £9 mark but you need 4-6 pumps to clean your entire face so the bottle lasts quite a while.

After I have finished in the shower, I move over to my vanity where the rest of my routine takes place.

Step two is the Pixi Glow Tonic.

This is a new addition to my routine, however its one that I think will be here to stay. This Glycolic Acid exfoliating toner helps to breakdown dead skin and leaves skin feeling smooth, without the need for a manual exfoliation.

I pour a small amount of this onto a cotton pad, and in gentle, circular motions, rub the product over my entire face, avoiding the eye area.

Step three is a facial oil.

Currently the Dr.Botanical’s Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil. I recently reviewed this so if you have read that then you will know I really like this. I apply 1 drop to my forehead, and two drops to each cheek and then gently rub and press the product into my skin.

I enjoy using this as an added boost of hydration, it helps to give back any moisture that has been removed by the glow tonic. I don’t plan on repurchasing this particular oil just yet, however I really want to try out other oils and keep a facial oil in the routine because I have noticed a huge difference so far.

Step four is my day cream.

I have recently been using the Olay Complete Lightweight Day Fluid with SPF 15, I picked this up on sale for around £3 because A) you can’t go wrong with Olay and B) added SPF. This really is a ‘fluid’ more than a cream however it sinks into the skin beautifully and leaves it feeling fresh, plump and hydrated. I find my makeup sits on top of it really nicely and I am very happy with this, and would 100% repurchase.

Step Five is Eye Cream.

Currently I am using the Laidbare Pack Your Bags Eye Cream that I picked up from TK Maxx. I have been using this everyday and it feels like I have used approxomately none of this. Its lovely and thick and again it sinks in and leaves the eye area hydrated and brightened.

Last but not least, Lip Balm.

Currently using the Dr Paw Paw Original, I pop some of this on at the end of my skincare routine, just before I do my makeup so that it can sink in as I finish up the rest of my face and hair.

It doesn’t have to be this one, but I think its as important to take care of your lips as it in the sensitive eye area.

So there we have it, a which break down of my skin care routine.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Talk to you soon!
