Review – Clinique Take The Day Off Balm

I’m back with another review, this time for the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm. I recently picked up a small pot of this from ASOS during a haul and have been using it on and off, rotating it with my usual Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean.

I have been mainly using this on a night to take my make up, and have to say, I’m not the biggest fan of this, but that’s not to say I don’t like it.. I just don’t love it.

The first thing I want to mention, mainly because its the biggest negative, I am not 100% in love with the texture. Whilst yes, its a nice thick balm that melts down over the skin but it doesn’t all melt, so its kinda leaves a lumpy texture on the skin which just feels kinda gross… similar to how I felt about the Sunday Riley cleansing balm.

However in terms of the actual product, its lovely.

One of the first things I like to do when I test out a new cleanser is do a full face of make up, so a few days ago I stepped outside of my comfort zone and I did this lovely sunset eye make up, with silver shimmer on the lid.

When I came to remove it, I used a small amount of this product on my face, and another small amount on my eyes and it removed everything.

It cleans every drop of make up of the skin, leaves skin feeling hydrated, its not sticky, it doesn’t leave any kind of residue on the skin and its just a lovely cleanser.

Overall this is a really nice cleanser, I wouldn’t say its my favourite but it is really nice.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Talk to you soon!
