A Week Off, and A Day Out

Hey Guys!

It’s been a little over a week since I last posted and there’s a couple of reasons for that..

  1. I have been pretty sick. Hayfever has completely been kicking my arse, and between constant sneezing, a very blocked nose, itchy throat, itchy eyes and feeling ridiculously tired, I’ve just been feeling pretty meh.
  2. I haven’t had much to talk about, I have tried a couple new things but want to try them a couple more times before talking about them, and I’ll be honest, I have looked really rough this past week so even if I had things to talk about, I was in no state to be showing them off.
  3. I have been helping with Project Garden. Ben and I started working on this a couple of weeks ago, and since then we’ve been pretty busy with work and haven’t had much time to work on, we booked this past weekend off and managed to squeeze in a couple of days working on it and actually got a lot done.

So there’s just a couple of reasons I have been MIA, but overall I just haven’t felt up to writing.. I don’t think I have actually picked my laptop up since that last post went up.

But that being said, I’m back now and should be back to my usual schedule.

So lets talk about today. Ben and I decided that we were going to pack up the cameras, and head off out for a couple of hours since the majority of our weekend off had been spent.. working. As usual.

We decided on the Butterfly House and Tropical World that’s about a half hour drive from where we live. We have been before and always really enjoy it so we figured there would be best.

We set off around 11:30ish and made a pit stop at Dunkin Donuts for some much needed coffee. With coffee in hand, we set off on the short drive.

When we arrived we parked up, grabbed the cameras and headed off to pay the entry fee and start our slow mooch around. Its been months since we got out with the cameras and we were both feeling very rusty.

To say there were two school trips there today, the place didn’t feel overly crowed and we were able to see everything very easily which was actually super nice.

After we had spent a few hours walking around, taking pictures and just having a nice steady mooch, we ended our trip and headed down the road to a large pub for a spot of lunch.

This is something we rarely do, but always seem to enjoy. We go out for dinner quite often but never for lunch, and its a totally different feel.. today we practically had the whole pub to ourselves and the food was amazing. We have plans to head back to the butterfly place but next time we’re going to take Ben’s family as well and I think we will definitely be heading back to that pub!

I came home and started going through the photos I had taken but fell asleep because I just felt completely worn out, after a half hour I woke up and we headed out to grab some lunch and to go collect the dog from his sleepover (Bens mum offered to have him whilst we went out and since we had gone up to play cards last night, Diesel stayed the night)

When we got home I finished going through and editing them, and thought I could share the ones I liked with you guys!

So there we have it! A quick update, and some of my favourites from today :)!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Talk to you soon!
